Schtuff We Like (LoNote, 2011) features seven cover tunes, including Zappa’s “King Kong”, “Space Oddity” by David Bowie, The Who’s “Boris the Spider” and “Lark’s Tongues in Aspic, Part Two” by King Crimson, as well as four original compositions. Apparently covering simple tunes like “Cat Scratch Fever” or “Smoke On The Water” wasn’t exciting enough for Bunky Moon. Instead, the band opted to attack some of the most complex compositions in rock history. Spoiler alert……………they did a pretty good job.

While the guys in Egypt Central are nursing major mechanical issues with their tour vehicle, their music plows on. The bands latest release White Rabbit landed in my mailbox today and I’m hard at work on a review. The CD is slated to hit the stores on May 31st, so be sure to get your copy before they all disappear.

Death Cab For Cutie fans are in for a double treat this spring. The indie rock band recently announced the May 31st release of their 7th CD, Codes and Keys and a line-up of North American tour dates beginning on May 18th in Toronto.

Tampa, FL natives NOT TONIGHT JOSEPHINE are pleased to reveal the title for their April 26th release. The record will be titled All on the Horizon, and is the band’s follow up to their 2009 EP, This Orphan Heart. The band teamed up with producer Brett Hestla (Creed, Dark New Day, Framing Hanley) in the studio for All on the Horizon. Brett Hestla is also credited for producing This Orphan Heart.

Roadrunner Records is pleased to announce the third Black Stone Cherry Album, Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, is due out May 31st, 2011.
